BACI to Host Second Annual Mental Health First Aid Training March 21

[As a public health measure in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and after consultation with our federal and state partners, the training has been rescheduled to June 27, 2020].

Updated 3/12/2020

After hosting Mental Health First Aid Training in 2019, where twenty community members successfully completed the certificate program, BACI and its partners are gearing up to offer another training session on March 21, 2020 through a collaborative partnership with the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), the National Council of Behavior Health (NCBH), and Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH).

Responding to the increasing need in the community, BACI is bringing together again experts and partners to provide an 8-hour training, designed for community and faith leaders, social workers, and educators.

“We are delighted to host another training through a continued collaborative partnership with our state and national partners in a joint effort to address important mental health issues”, said Mr. Lian Sang, Director of the Programs at BACI.

The training is free of cost to the participants thanks to our partners based in Washington D.C. who are experts and Certified Mental Health First Aid instructors.

The participants who successfully complete this training are awarded a Certificate of Mental Health First Aid.
