Dear Friends,
With a vision of education for all, a stronger community, and greater opportunity, the Burmese American Community Institute (BACI) has dedicated itself to building a thriving, integrated, and self-sufficient community through advocacy, education, and employment.
Since our founding in 2010, BACI has served more than 35,000 individuals in Indianapolis and beyond. We have provided citizenship and English-language training, assistance with naturalization applications, employment and workforce support, scholarships, college and university admissions guidance, and vital human and health services. We have also provided technical assistance and support to organizations working to strengthen the successful integration and development of our community.
Now, We Are Ready to Take the Next Step.
To continue serving our community and expand these meaningful services, we need a permanent Community Center — a HOME for ALL: a place where children, youth, families, seniors, newcomers, and the broader community can learn, connect, grow, and thrive together.
Good News — We Have Already Made Significant Progress!
We have successfully secured approximately 12 acres of property at 5212, 5220, and 5246 Bluff Road for our future campus, and the rezoning process has been completed.
On September 9, 2026, we will break ground on the construction of multi-surface sports courts and a parking lot as part of the BACI Campus — International Community Center. We have also raised a significant portion of the funding needed to construct the Community Hall Building.
