The aim of the 2020 Myanmar Union Day observation in the USA is:
• To share and celebrate cultural diversity, and historical heritage; whereby promoting a greater understanding among receiving and incoming communities towards a successful and sustainable integration;

• To provide a common platform for all communities from Burma/Myanmar and to promote greater engagement and unity among all ethnic and religious groups from Burma/Myanmar;

• To serve as an avenue for all youths from Myanmar to inclusively engage and share through fun and interactive cultural and entertainment activities as part of preserving one’s cultural and historical heritages as well as to provide leadership development opportunities; and

• To once again reaffirm the support for federalist democracy, freedom, and equality in Burma/Myanmar based on the Panlong spirits and principles; and provide moral and other support for the ongoing National Reconciliation & Peace Process – 21st Century Panlong – towards comprehensive Constitutional reforms, inclusive economic development, and prosperity in the Southeast Asian Nation.
